About this Fella

Anadenobolus monillicornis, the Bumblebee Millipede, wears exactly the paint job the name promises: bold yellow-and-black banding all the way down, on a small, fast-footed body that is a lot more active than your average millipede. These are clean captive-bred juveniles, ready to grow.

It is one of the best-value starter millipedes there is: cheap, hardy, totally harmless, and happy to multiply on its own once it is settled into a humid bioactive setup. Toss in oak leaf litter and rotting wood (that is the food and the substrate), keep it damp, and watch a little colony build itself. Great for kids, classrooms, or anyone who wants the millipede experience without the giant-millipede price tag.
