Asbolus verrucosus, the Blue Death Feigning Beetle, is a bumpy-backed desert darkling beetle from the American Southwest. A waxy blue-gray bloom coats its black shell, and when startled it simply stops, tips over, and plays dead until the coast is clear.

About as low-maintenance and harmless as inverts get: no bite, no sting, no fast movements, just a slow desert scavenger on dry sand and cholla wood. A dry bioactive-style setup with some hides is all it needs. The care guide has the build and the boundaries.
