The Pinktoe, Avicularia avicularia, is an arboreal tarantula from northern South America with a dark body and pink tips on its feet. It builds silk tube webs up high and is often out where you can see it.
It is usually calm but quick, and it may jump when startled, which matters on maintenance day. It can flick urticating hairs and may spray waste when threatened. It needs a tall enclosure with good airflow.
