About this Fella

Argentine Dwarf Tarantula for sale from Big Z's (Catumiri argentinense). Spice-rated keeper notes, care guidance, and live-arrival packing where eligible.

A small, quiet dwarf that stays small.

Catumiri argentinense, the Argentine Dwarf Tarantula, is a small New World terrestrial from the southern cone of South America. These arrived at 0.75 inch. It is a bronze-toned, unshowy spider that keepers pick for the size: a full adult fits in an enclosure most tarantulas would outgrow in a year.

Spice Level 2: Beginner. Keep it terrestrial with a few inches of substrate it can dig into, a hide and a small water dish. Not a handling animal. A Baby Buddy fits it and it may never need much more than that.

The numbers live in the care guide. Enclosure size, temps, humidity, feeding schedule, premolt signs, handling boundaries: it's all in the care guide for this exact fella. Start with the full Advanced guide, or click for the quick Open the Simple version →
