The Florida Ivory, with a hidden purple shimmer
This is Chicobolus spinigerus, the US-native Florida Ivory Millipede, in its “Purple Rainbow” color form: same hardy, easygoing species, but the dark bands throw an unexpected purple-violet iridescence when the light catches them. A genuinely uncommon look on a millipede that is normally about as common as they come.
