Tarantula

Tarantula
Hardy beginner pick with simple care. Pair with the matched habitat kit and the printable care guide.
The fuzzy beginner classic with real display charm
Tliltocatl albopilosus, the Curly Hair Tarantula, is a stocky New World terrestrial known for its shaggy look, forgiving care, and steady, approachable reputation. It is one of the better fits for newer tarantula keepers who still want a spider with presence.
This drop is one 3-4 inch juvenile/subadult. Set it up terrestrial with suitable substrate depth, a hide, a water dish, and calm room-temperature care. Keep handling to a minimum, respect urticating hairs, and give it extra quiet during premolt and molt; the matched Tliltocatl guide covers the simple-care rhythm.
The numbers live in the care guide. Enclosure size, temps, humidity, feeding schedule, premolt signs, handling boundaries: it's all in the care guide for this exact fella. Start with the full Advanced guide, or click for the quick Open the Simple version →
