Millipede

Spider
This fella is tiny enough that monitoring matters more than extra space, so the best checkout pair is the tiny square starter.
Slow, low-defense, easy care. A win for first-time keepers and family setups.
Lime-green, sharp-eyed, and hunting in broad daylight
Peucetia viridans, the Green Lynx, is a brilliant, almost neon lime-green ambush hunter from the southern US, Mexico, and Central America. It does not spin a web; it sits out on a leaf or a flower in full daylight, tracks prey with genuinely excellent vision, and pounces: a cat with eight legs.
That makes it one of the few truly diurnal display spiders: you will actually see it being a spider, in the open, in good light. The venom is functionally harmless to people (bites are rare and minor), so it is an easy, low-stress keep, though it is quick, so it is an admire-do-not-grab animal. Striking, active, and unlike anything else in the lineup.
The numbers live in the care guide. Enclosure size, temps, humidity, feeding schedule, premolt signs, handling boundaries: it's all in the care guide for this exact fella. Start with the full Advanced guide, or click for the quick Open the Simple version →
