- Kautti comes from a rock face near a cave in lowland forest. Don't chill it for a supposed highland origin.
- Related southern Thai forest scorpions are kept humid and alone. This setup follows that moisture-and-cover approach.
- Check moisture under cover without repeatedly lifting the occupied hide. Measure temperature right beside the retreat.
- Support furnishings independently so digging can't cause a collapse.
- Give it room to turn, retreat, and molt under cover, and size up the enclosure as it grows.
Feeding, Growth & Maintenance
- Adjust portions to feeding response and body condition. Smaller animals get smaller portions.
- Remove refused live prey and food remains promptly, without taking apart the retreat.
- Keep watering separate from trying to get it to eat.
