The Thai Flat Rock Scorpion (Scorpiops cf. kautti) has a brown body, black pincers, and a low, flattened profile. These are offered at 1-3 inches in length. The exact species is not confirmed, so the care approach stays grounded in related forest scorpions. Start with a secure enclosure and sheltered crevices that suit the animal's small size.

Enclosure & Microclimate
- Kautti comes from a rock face near a cave in lowland forest. Don't chill it for a supposed highland origin.
- Related southern Thai forest scorpions are kept humid and alone. This setup follows that moisture-and-cover approach.
- Check moisture under cover without repeatedly lifting the occupied hide. Measure temperature right beside the retreat.
- Support furnishings independently so digging can't cause a collapse.
- Give it room to turn, retreat, and molt under cover, and size up the enclosure as it grows.

- Likely native range: Similar to Scorpiops kautti, which is known from southern Thailand on a lowland forest rock face near a cave.
- Habitat translation: A sheltered forest rock face becomes stable, close cover over moisture-holding soil. Build for shelter and moisture, not a rocky desert or a recreated cave.

- cf. kautti means similar to kautti. Color and a trade name do not confirm the species.
- Spelled kautti, not kautii. Some current classifications place it in Alloscorpiops.
