CARE

All four are heavy webbers that want deep substrate and something to anchor web to. Dry to slightly damp depending on species, a water dish, small prey once or twice a week. The King Baboon spends most of its life underground, so give it burrow depth from day one and expect to see it rarely.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Spice 3 to 4, Intermediate to Advanced. For keepers who already work Old World species. If that is not you yet, buy a New World Sling Pack instead.
• Old World tarantulas have no urticating hair. The bite is the only defence and these genera will use it. Venom from this group can put a keeper in real pain for a few days.
• Escape proof enclosures and long tongs ready before the box arrives. A sling that bolts is gone.
• Slings are not sexed.
• Live arrival guaranteed. Heat or cold pack included as the weather requires.
