Hogna miami, the Miami Wolf Spider, is a dusky yellow-brown native wolf spider found almost nowhere outside Miami-Dade County. A quick, ground-hugging ambush hunter with a body around 3/4 to 1.25 inches, it relies on speed and camouflage instead of a web.
