Bahia Scarlet Birdeater Tarantula for sale from Big Z's (Lasiodora klugi). Spice-rated keeper notes, care guidance, and live-arrival packing where eligible.
The Lasiodora with red in it.
Lasiodora klugi, the Bahia Scarlet Birdeater, is the less common cousin of the Salmon Pink, from Bahia in Brazil, and grows into one of the big-bodied New World terrestrials. Adults carry a darker body and a reddish cast the parahybana lacks. These arrived at 1/4 to 1/2 inch, so plan on years of grow-out.
Spice Level 3: Intermediate. Easy to keep, big appetite, quick to kick urticating hairs and to threat-pose, so this is a watch-only spider from the start. A Baby Buddy fits it now; it will need a wide terrestrial floor with deep substrate as it grows. Read the Big Z's care guide before it arrives.
The numbers live in the care guide. Enclosure size, temps, humidity, feeding schedule, premolt signs, handling boundaries: it's all in the care guide for this exact fella. Start with the full Advanced guide, or click for the quick Open the Simple version →
