About this Fella

Potter's Funnel Weaver for sale from Big Z's (Agelenopsis potteri). Spice-rated keeper notes, care guidance, and live-arrival packing where eligible.

The grass spider that builds a sheet and a funnel, then waits at the mouth.

Agelenopsis potteri, Potter's Funnel Weaver, is one of the North American grass spiders: a fast, striped, long-spinnereted spider that builds a flat sheet web with a funnel retreat at one edge and darts out when something lands on the sheet. We measure them when they land and update the size here.

Spice Level 2: Beginner. A small enclosure with a few anchor points for the sheet, a corner it can tuck the funnel into, lightly moist substrate, and small prey dropped on the web. Quick, but not defensive. Hands off.

The numbers live in the care guide. Enclosure size, temps, humidity, feeding schedule, premolt signs, handling boundaries: it's all in the care guide for this exact fella. Start with the full Advanced guide, or click for the quick Open the Simple version →
