About this Fella

Sarawak Red Tiger Tarantula for sale from Big Z's (Phormingochilus everetti). Spice-rated keeper notes, care guidance, and live-arrival packing where eligible.

A Bornean tree tiger with red in its stripes.

Phormingochilus everetti, the Sarawak Red Tiger, is a Bornean earth tiger that lives above ground, in tree hollows and behind bark, rather than in a burrow. Adults show the tiger banding on the abdomen with a warm red-orange wash. These arrived at 1 to 1.5 inches.

Spice Level 4: Advanced. Build tall: a vertical cork slab or tube to retreat into, substrate at the bottom that holds some moisture, and real cross ventilation. Old World, fast, and it will bolt upward when disturbed. Catch cup before the lid opens, no handling.

The numbers live in the care guide. Enclosure size, temps, humidity, feeding schedule, premolt signs, handling boundaries: it's all in the care guide for this exact fella. Start with the full Advanced guide, or click for the quick Open the Simple version →
