About this Fella

Black Funnel Web Spider for sale from Big Z's (Linothele sp. 'Black'). Spice-rated keeper notes, care guidance, and live-arrival packing where eligible.

A South American funnel-web that webs everything.

Linothele sp. 'Black' is an undescribed South American funnel-web sold under its trade name. Linothele are sheet-web builders: long spinnerets, sheets of silk over every surface, and a funnel retreat the spider rarely leaves in daylight. This one arrived at 0.75 inch.

Spice Level 3: Intermediate. Moisture-holding substrate with a cork start for the funnel, anchor points for the sheet web, and cross ventilation. Fast and skittish rather than aggressive. No handling.

The numbers live in the care guide. Enclosure size, temps, humidity, feeding schedule, premolt signs, handling boundaries: it's all in the care guide for this exact fella. Start with the full Advanced guide, or click for the quick Open the Simple version →
