Vietnamese Yellow Leg Centipede for sale from Big Z's (Scolopendra dehaani). Spice-rated keeper notes, care guidance, and live-arrival packing where eligible.
The size of your forearm, carrying a venom bite victims call the worst pain of their lives
Scolopendra dehaani, the Vietnamese Yellow Leg Centipede, is the heavy-bodied mainland giant and one of the largest centipedes you can keep. A red-brown battleship of an animal with bold yellow-orange legs, it ranges across Vietnam, Thailand, and mainland Southeast Asia. For years it moved through the trade as Scolopendra subspinipes, but the mainland yellow-leg animal is dehaani, a genuinely larger, heavier species. Ours ship as adults at a serious 7 to 9 inches.
Fast, strong, and genuinely dangerous to mishandle. The venom is medically significant, and bite victims describe some of the worst pain they have ever felt, so this animal is NEVER free-handled. Give it deep, packed substrate to burrow into and a secure locking lid, both mandatory, and treat every rehousing with real respect. This is a Spice 5, keeper-level Extreme animal built for experienced hands only. Read the matched care guide before you commit.
The numbers live in the care guide. Enclosure size, temps, humidity, feeding schedule, premolt signs, handling boundaries: it's all in the care guide for this exact fella. Start with the full Advanced guide, or click for the quick Open the Simple version →
