Brazilian White Knee Tarantula for sale from Big Z's (Acanthoscurria geniculata). Spice-rated with keeper notes, packed for live arrival where eligible.
High contrast, high energy, always out in the open
The Brazilian White Knee, Acanthoscurria geniculata, is a big Amazonian terrestrial in dramatic black-and-white: inky body, bold white-banded knees, a thick coat of red-orange hairs over the abdomen, and a 7-to-9-inch adult span. It is big, it is bold, and unlike a lot of giants it actually sits out where you can see it.
The feeding response is the stuff of legend, a lightning strike every single time, which makes it one of the most rewarding display tarantulas going. Fast-growing, hardy, and uncomplicated on care, but with a real territorial swagger and a fast, food-motivated streak that nudge it out of the true-beginner lane. It does flick urticating hairs readily, so it is a watch-do-not-touch animal, and a heavy juvenile will eventually need a roomier enclosure as it grows.
The numbers live in the care guide. Enclosure size, temps, humidity, feeding schedule, premolt signs, handling boundaries: it's all in the care guide for this exact fella. Start with the full Advanced guide, or click for the quick Open the Simple version →

Burrow Buddy fits the listed juvenile size, but the animal may outgrow it at around 5" DLS. Plan for larger terrestrial with deep substrate; this is a 7–8" adult species. Ask Big Z if you need help choosing the next enclosure.
