SuperMoss Dried Spanish Moss

The finishing touch for an arboreal setup. Drape Spanish moss over a branch or tuck it into a corner and arboreal tarantulas and jumping spiders have something to anchor silk to and build a retreat in, and the whole enclosure looks like a slice of a southern forest. Grab a bag for your tall builds.

Why keepers pick this one

Silk Anchor: arboreals and jumpers weave retreats into it.
Instant Canopy: drapes over branches for the hanging-moss look.
Light and Airy: adds cover up top without blocking airflow.
Name You Know: SuperMoss, in the original bag.

Specifications

Dried natural Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides), SuperMoss item 26901
120 cubic inch bag, shipping weight about 60 g

Build it out

Pair it with an Arboreal Acrylic Enclosure, a Spiderwood Branch and a Cork Bark Tube for an arboreal tarantula or jumping spider.

Good to know

Shake it out over the trash before it goes in, and mist lightly to keep it from shedding.

Sold in the original SuperMoss bag.

I just got my first tarantula from Big Zs shipped to me yesterday, the jumbo Oklahoma brown. I did so much research on which is beginner friendly and it was a bit confusing to say the least. I am so glad I found Big Zs! The spice rating and all the info they provide made the decision so much easier! My Ophelia arrived safe & sound too! Thank you!!

The whole experience was amazing from start to finish very, very professional company.

Great sized giants, and very healthy on arrival.

It's a bit too small for the sling I got, and would have liked it a bit bigger. The acrylic scratches very easily.

Hi! Thank you so much for picking up your pumpkin patch sling and enclosure from us at the expo, and for taking the time to share this. We’re really sorry it hasn’t felt like the right fit, and we want to make sure both you and your little one are set up for success. We’d love to see how things are going! If you can, snap a few photos of your sling in its enclosure, plus any spots where the acrylic has scratched, and send them to bigzshna@gmail.com. That way we can check out the setup, make sure your sling is comfortable and settling in, and take a closer look at the scratching.

We also want to reassure you on size. We designed the 4×3×3 specifically for slings in the ¼'–½' range. It can look small, but tiny slings do best in a snug space: they find their food more easily, you can keep an eye on them, and the substrate holds moisture more evenly. Pumpkin patches are a dwarf species, so this will be a cozy home for a while, and when yours is ready to move up, we’ll gladly help you pick the next size.

On the scratching: acrylic is softer than glass, so it’s more delicate. A microfiber cloth with water or a plastic-safe cleaner works best, while paper towels and ammonia-based glass cleaners tend to leave fine scratches. If you’re seeing scratches even with gentle care, we really want to know, so please include those in your photos.

Thank you again for supporting a small business. We’re here for you and your pumpkin patch!

Perfect mix work out really well

First time purchasing my little fella from Big Z, and I have to say from start to finish was a professional experience my little pet came unharmed. Well, maintain active and loving its new enclosure that I also purchased from big Z. I highly recommend this company big Z was very helpful from start to finish. I will be ordering from here again thanks big z

Really enjoying this scorpion. Very active and interesting to watch. He is getting along with the five Blue Death Feigning Beetles just fine.

Thank you for the bigger than expected fire leg.

It’s absolutely perfect. Really cute and the packaging was really good. My daughter bought it with her own money because she’s wanted one for years !!

I have to say Mr and Mrs Z went above and beyond with communication, thank you! My little Argentine Dwarf arrived safe and healthy, packaging was great. I did not know what to expect as this has been my first online T ordered, everything was handled with care. I am extremely grateful for the freebies provided it has made a great home for the little one certainly above and beyond with customer service and care. I will not hesitate to purchase from you again! My sincere thanks, Jeff R
