Selenops sp., the Selenopid Crab Spider or "Flattie," is a dorsoventrally flattened ambush hunter built to disappear into the thinnest crevice on a tree trunk or rock wall. What it lacks in size (under an inch) it makes up for with some of the fastest strike-and-turn speed measured in any spider.
